The Omaha-Douglas County Victim Assistance Program provides crime victims with court accompaniment, case status notification, information about victim's rights, referrals, and assistance with victim impact statements and applications for victim's compensation, protection orders, and restitution.

The Omaha Bar Association offers a lawyer referral service by online request form or telephone for a small fee, which includes an initial consultation with a lawyer. The service area includes Cass, Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties.

The Nebraska Judicial Branch offers information about how to file a grievance against a lawyer, online Rules of Professional Conduct, and other information related to complaints about attorneys.

The Nebraska State Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project provides free and low-cost legal assistance to low-income residents. Application instructions and locations of Self Help Centers are provided.
